So my Dev Kit Lumia 920 got the 1308 update yesterday and I noticed that if you dial ##634# a menu about Color Management and Lifetime counter appears like shown leRXK5L.jpg

yep, it is exactly what metalchick719 said. This has been on Nokia phones since ages, AFAIK since N73.

This counter does not reset if you reset your phone IIRC. I flashed a new ROM and the counter stayed the same. Maybe this is SIM card dependent. If it isn't, this is one way of checking whether your phone is really "new" or not :P

Im sure it's not call time... I have the equivalent of 28 days, and I use voice for like 10 mins a month and have had my phone for 4 months...

I have a feeling that this lifetime counter is battery-dependent as I removed my SIM and it's still there. I had my 920 for quite a while but I had my SIM for barely a month.

It indicates call time in hours:mins:secs, so looks like TIPU2185 got a phone that was used by someone else :(

It appeared to me the same :(. I raised this concern with company as well but how to challenge them ?? It was packed at warranty says it starts from time it was delivered to me.

I am using 720 and even my cell is showing just the color : white nothing else. Can anyone guide me on this?

I've called only probably 20 minutes tops. The counter translates to about 133 days. I'm guessing it's the time spent on 3G/4G (up time) or something?
