Lumia 920 frequent freeze

My 920 never had freezes. I had phones that freeze often, replaced them and fixed every time. That's the best fix.
 
My 920 also experiences frequent freezing issue. It's been already after 2 weeks now, will AT&T still replace it?
 
Only time my 920 has frozen was in Words with friends. After their update no freezes (knock on wood)
 
I tried everything with my first phone, but it kept freezing. Took it back yesterday and the ease with which the store gave me a replacement made me wonder if I was not the first to return one there. Anyway, no freezes so far with the replacement.
 
My replacement has not crashed since I had it, including overnight on the wireless charger. Anyone having frequent freezes (2 or 3 per day), I would suggest you take it back and get a replacement.
 
People are saying it's a firmware issue.

I uninstalled Skype...still froze at random. I turned off bluetooth...and it still froze. If I use the wireless charger, it has a heavy chance of being frozen when I wake where the wired charger doesn't freeze at all it seems (so far).

Updated yesterday via windows/Nokia updates that just rolled out. Still freezes.

What's interesting is I guess it froze just now, but I got a phone call. Buttons lit up but the screen wouldn't come on. Hitting the screen wake/power button simply ignored the call. I had to force restart again to see who called and get the screen going again.

So it looks like maybe the phone itself isn't freezing but simply the screen just stops responding?

Can anyone test this the next time your screen won't come on? Have someone call you and see if it comes through.

Agree. My phone froze 3-4 times a day on average. Got it replaced, and now is fine.
 
I also get freezes every now and then and have to reset the date/time (auto-set doesn't seem to work).

As well as the clicking when pressing in the top of the phone and my sleep/wake button is nearly flush with the phone!

However there is nothing my provider can do (EE UK) so I'd have to contact Nokia and I'd most likely be without a phone for a month or so... which just sucks!

They don't have a warranty period for your phone?

Yeah I have the 12 month warrenty from Nokia, although I would have to return it and I would be without a phone!

Saying that I'm heading to Glasgow this weekend to see my girlfriend. I'll pop into the Nokia Care shop and see what they say about it - I just don't want to be phoneless for weeks while they receive the phone and fix/replace it.
 
I bought 2 920s right before Thanksgiving, a cyan one for myself and a yellow one for my wife. The cyan one started freezing about a week ago, called at&t and was told I could get it replaced but it would be a refurbished one since it was outside the 14 day return policy. I tried a hard reset, removing apps, etc and it still freezes. I have no apps at all on it except for email/phone/music, I removed all the nokia and at&t stuff. I guess I'll just put up with it till the end of my contract because I don't want a refurbished phone when mine was brand new less than a month ago.

My wife's phone has been working great until this morning and it froze. I'm hoping Nokia and/or Microsoft can fix this issue because at&t is no help, this is getting ridiculous. So not to burst anyone's bubble but it just seems to be a matter of time before all start freezing like this, even the refurbished ones you get to replaced it with until they can find the root problem.
 
After 14 months of using, my NL 920 is giving problems of freezing. Every now & then it freezes, Its the touch screen that doesn't respond while the side buttons work properly. I went to Nokia Care centre & they said that since its more than 1 year the warranty is not valid. Had done Hard reset once but the problem persists. Now my phone freezes at least once a day. I feel the problem is due to data connectivity. When I switch over to WiFi there is no problem. Can any one help??? Feel like changing the phone.
