Lumia 920 No toast notifications but email. Should I just switch?

It's incredibly frustrating. Up until now its never been that bad. Before I did get a couple of late notifications but now nothing works. Is it the fact that I have WP 8.1 Update 1 (It was there too before update 1) ?

Pretty much everything. I've seen 6snap give me 2. But text now and more importantly WhatsApp are completely silent. Not even the tile updates. I have to click on the app to actually see my new messages

I had the same issue with the 920 after installing 8.1 preview. I tried resetting the phone a few times and even used the Nokia software to get it back to factory. Not sure what worked but it seems like it just started working on it's own after awhile.

Disable any unnecessary background process that is enabled. If they exceed the maximum limit of 30 some of the tiles will stop working. If that too doesn't work then I will suggest open each app installed one by one and from settings inside the app check if live tiles are turned on and if they are just turn it off. Hopefully this should fix it.

No problems here! Try to backup first and do a hard reset. I did it when instaled WP8.1.

I just did. Still having the same damn issue. I'm downgrading to Wp8 :[
