i have a lumia 925 which says its made in brazil and has the carrier logo anatel from brazil. i keep checking for updates but to no avail. does anyone have a idea on when the lumia cyan update will be released in brazil

If you have a carrier device, the update roll out will depend on your carrier, which should be soon

ive checked with other brazil carriers, they all show that they are testing lumia cyan but i cant find any details on the carrier called anatel.

Anatel isn't a Carrier, it's like a regulatory agency for telecomunications in Brazil.
The main Carriers in Brazil are: Vivo, Claro, TIM and Oi.
But your phone can be a Country Variant (CV) and is not liked with any carrier itself.
In Brazil were launched at least 3 CV Models that are:
059T5T0 RM-892 VAR LTA BR CV BLACK
059T9Z1 RM-892 VAR LTA BR CV MANAUS BLACK
059V013 RM-892 VAR LTA BR CV MANAUS WHITE
Unfortunatelly, only 059T5T0 RM-892 VAR LTA BR CV BLACK appears to be able to get Lumia Cyan Update until now.
I have the 059T9Z1 RM-892 VAR LTA BR CV MANAUS BLACK model, and until now, I got no luck on get this update
