Lumia 925 in demo mode!

Hi there, my mum has been a nokia user since the infamous 3210. She has since not looked or touched any other phone. Visiting the swap meet every saturday like usual she has seen a lumia 925 with a $300 price tag, she haggled them to $250 and has come home all excited to get her phone underway. Long story short ive spent 2+ days trying to fix this thing, no soft reset hard reset or anything ive done has changed this "demo mode". The police have been informed but they have told her theres no information on there system to say its stolen so they gave it back. she will be attending the swap meet this saturday to confront him but i could put $250 on it that he wont be there. is there anybody that can please help ?

What did the seller only have one item?
if he's a swap meet seller if he's not there next week, he will be there the next.

With the IMEI if it's an ATT branded it's easy to find out if it's actually stolen or what

Grab a ROM and flash it using NCS, for flashing instructions, refer to the sticky in the 920 forums. For product code, refer to the 925 forums

so i can use a 920 rom on the 925? the phone is unlocked already isnt that what product codes are used for ?

Product codes are specific model numbers, you can use use only a 925 product code to flash

Yea, he means the instruction are in the 920 forum. But use a 925 rom once you get on it. That should definitely fix your problem! (maybe)
