I've Lumia 720 4.3 inches, three columns aren't so good, because live tiles will be smaller than what i love.
You don't need 925 any phone with 4.5 inches will help.I
I think adding a column for small square will be helpful.

Here is mine from a Lumia 920. I could not get used to this 3 column layout on my screen so I went back to not using it. Mostly since I do not like the new size of the large wide tiles, and wish they would span across the whole screen. I do like how the medium tiles look in the 3 column layout though.

I had the 3 columns on my 925 for a couple months but the tiles were pretty small. I'm now back the normal 2 columns but I'm thinking of giving the 3 columns another try

I love the added option for more tiles. I'm still trying to figure out if I like to scroll on the home screen or if I want to shrink everything down and have a static home screen.
