I thought both had liquid cooling?
They do. At least that's what most tech sites have been stating. It isn't something I would pay extra for on a phone. If it's there, it's likely a necessity.

Wait wait wait wait....They charge you MORE if you don't buy a phone through them? That's ridiculous.
There are some interesting comparisons of the 808 vs 810. Some even say the 808 is theoretically better because the 810 gets too hot and throttles more often. And then there is the 810 v2 or v2.1?
I'm not sure which 810 is in the 950XL.

There's only a few differences between them.
The Lumia 950 is slightly less powerful with the Snapdragon 808 hexa-core while the Lumia 950 XL has the Snapdragon 810 octa-core.
The Lumia 950 does not have liquid cooling, while the Lumia 950 XL does.
The Lumia 950 has a smaller 5.2 inch screen, while the Lumia 950 XL has a larger 5.7 inch screen.
The Lumia 950 has Gorilla Glass 3, while the Lumia 950 XL has Gorilla Glass 4.
The Lumia 950 has a differenct camera housing than the Lumia 950 XL.
There you have it. The Lumia 950 XL is about $100 better (and $100 more expensive). Really the only thing that should decide you is how big you like your phone. If you want a larger screen than the Lumia 950 XL is really your only choice. If you like smaller phones, then the Lumia 950 is the better choice.
Well let's break it down here. At AT&T if you buy an unlocked device and then use it on your plan, they charge you $40 per line (on top of your data plan). If you buy a phone through AT&T Next, they only charge you $15 per line and then you have your phone payment (most flagships are around $25/month) which equals to about the same as bringing your own device.
So let's say you get a 950XL:
$650 + $40/month per line + your data plan (mine is $100 for 10gb)
Now let's say you get a 950 through AT&T Next:
$0 upfront (exluding taxes) + $15/month per line + $25/month phone payment + your data plan ($100)
Even if you use a credit card, you still have to pay more per line with an unlocked device (and then you still have your credit card payment). Either way Next is the cheaper option upfront, even though it probably costs more in the long run.
you forgot the battery.
Why are you assuming $40 per line? off contract phones get that reduced. Because I have the 2gb plan its $25 per line. My total bill is 85, 30 for the plan and 50 for two lines, plus taxes.
Yeah I like the camera bezel better on the XL, but I didn't like how big it was when I tried it out. I'm comforted a bit by the fact that the 810 seems a bit too hot for the platform. That and the 950 will fit in my shirt pocket I couldn't button the pocket when I put the XL in it. I usually put my phone in my shirt or jacket breast pocket when I go out on my motorcycle, so that's pretty important to me.
You don't actually know that.
you forgot the battery.
I'm certain of it. Of course, I could be wrong, but I've yet to be shown any evidence to the contrary, so I suppose I'll keep on being certain, haha. You don't actually know that.
I am surprised with all who handled the demos when they were in the MS Stores no one checked out which processor was in it??
