Lumia Camera is not working anymore. Hangs or is ver slow

Since about a month Lumia camera is nog working anymore. Hangs after taking one picture or is very, very slow.
In Whatsapp it is nog working at all. It starts but hangs every time.
I use version 5.0.2.56. My phone is on Denim. As far as I know I did not change a thing.

Anyone a solution?

I read something about Microsoft removing the Lumia apps (because of Windows 10). So I removed the lumia Camera and use the default camera. This looks better.
Can anyone confirm this is the best solution?
