The only way I know to toggle living images on/off is by opening the "..." menu while in the camera app, then taping settings, then hitting the toggle to change the setting, then back to camera.
Not what I would call a quick settings...

nice video capture options but the recording is not good.. if you record a video and move around too much, the video freezes in milliseconds and continue and when you actually play the recorded video, the time lapse there is very dissapointing.. I'm still using nokia camera for video recording and lumia camera for pictures only..

I'm not experiencing that at all. It's a great video camera.
