Lumia Cyan on an unlocked phone?

How/when would unlocked phones get Lumia Cyan? I bought a Lumia 1520 online and I use it in Canada with Rogers, where the phone is not available. AT&T just pushed out their update for the 1520. Would I have a lot of trouble updating to Cyan?

Long as you're running 8.0, you can update as soon as it's released for the CV handsets in your area. If you're running the 8.1 Preview you'll have to roll back first using the recovery tool.
