I cant find this app on my new 930 with cyan update as it was on my lumia 925. how comes? I've force checked for the latest updates and installed them all. Any reason why this is not on my 930?

Thanks

Its ok now I forced installed it by logging into my account and selecting "reinstall" but anyone know why this wasn't automatically on my phone?

You mean so you can see what memory space you have on the phone? It's called Storage Sense now I believe (if that's what you're asking about!)

thanks, storage sense was always there, but storage check was different, the app which you was able to clear temp files and whatever....

Ahhhh gotcha. If you tap the 'memory bar' (not sure what else to call the stripe they use to represent memory used) it quantifies everything there including temp files. No idea why you can't just swipe for it.

Nokia storage check tool appears to be removed by Microsoft, I think its about time too, the thing was outdated, and storage sense in 8.1 does the same thing and better, after hard rest I noted that the app was not pulled from the store when updating apps, noticed this a few days ago, using NL920 DP

Storage sense is inferior under every aspect. It doesn't even let you check the memory used by each program. Anyway the Nokia tool wasn't working properly on 8.1, maybe they're trying to copy it's functions in the Microsoft app, give them some years and maybe we'll get some buggy piece of software back

LOL, years most certainly hope not, Microsoft should merge apps/ settings which offer similar functionality, I like apps integrated, not talking hubs here, system apps, think files file 📁 manager, build the app into the system like radio etc, or merge Nokia storage tool, storage sense and Files

Storage Sense is inferior to Nokia Storage Check when it comes to removing temp files as the former doesn't even remove or rather cannot remove temporary files (I left it running over night and there was no change what so ever) and yet the Nokia app can with-in a few minutes.
