MAC Address? Restrict Services?

Considering purchase of a Focus... found the following statements in an owner's review...
1. "There is no way to find the MAC address on a Focus" True?

2. "Cannot restrict services based on application, so every service is available or it isn't" What does this mean?

For #1, yes currently the MAC address is hidden, but all you need to do is turn off MAC filtering on a WiFi AP for a minute, record the address after you connect, and now you have it. I believe rhis will be corrected with the Mago ipdate later this year.

Dont fully understand #2. Each app opens specified services, which are defined in the apps Marketplace description.
