Making phone calls - is it possible to do it faster?

Hello,

On Windows phones to make a phone call, you should select some particular contact, and then, a number to which you would like to call.

Is it possible to automatically call someone just after selecting the contact from the Contacts menu?

My important contacts are in Speed Dial. Don't know if that's enough for your needs.

If you've had a phone call with the person/service recently, you can call from the phone history list by tapping on the name.

Speed dial works well too.

Or pin any contact on the start screen. Then when ever you need to call, it's just two taps away.
[edit: just to add, having pictures of the people as a tile on the start screen makes WP more personal. As opposed to endless icons on other platforms)
