Managing texts from a PC (SB2 and Note8)

REcently moved to a Note8 from my Lumia950xl and one thing i have bnot accomplish is actually get to read texts and send texts from my Surface Book2.

I have triedl the Samsung FLow but it wont let me go thru after pairing, for some reason it wont go thru.

SOmeone told me about Pulse SMS but that is a paid service.

My cortana used to give me text notifications from my Lumia950xl on my SB. My Note wont at all even though I have Cortana setup under the cross device settings on my Note8 to get incoming message and call notifiations.

Do I have to turn that off on my LUmia first?

Has anyone tried the android.messages.com web app?

Even when I install the android messages app it won't give me the qr code option.

It's rolling out slowly to everyone, I don't have it yet either.

I use TextTo. It works with the Google kr Samsung default sms app and has a web based interface as well as an app for PC. They just added ads and a sync limit which is annoying but you can pay to remove those.

I am eagerly awaiting the My Phone app on my surfaces. Have stopped doing insider builds a long time now.

Wonder how managing texts is going with the newbuilds with this feature.
