Manual sync with Google Calendar

Hi!

I want to keep my Google Calendar in sync with Lumia 625's calendar but don't want the phone to check for changes every fix period of time but to do it "manually" as there even is such option to choose from.
While it's obvious how this option works for e-mail (there's a refresh button) I cannot find anything to prompt the phone to sync "now". It adds events created on the phone with web but when I put sometning on my calendar using laptop, I can't make Lumia to update itself.

Settings > email + accounts > select the Google account name off the list and long tap (hold down) on the name > select sync from the drop down menu list... This will sync all the categories you have checked for sync.

You can (regular) tap the name to open the account and examine what is set to sync.
