Meet and Greets?

Is there a way to post local Meet and Greets for people who are looking to get into the dev arena?

I've got all the tools. I have apps I want to create. I just don't have the time to sit there and do walk thru's to get up to speed. I think if I just had a mentor or someone to show me the ropes on how to get started, I could get going on my own. I have to think there are others out there like me, that just need some help getting going.
