Mic issue on Lumia after upgrading to 8.1 preview

Hello
After upgrading my lumia 1520 to 8.1 developer preview, I have a problem when making phone calls
sometimes when I call or receive a call, the other side doesn't hear me until I open a loud speaker, after the update 1 for developer preview I encounter this issue much more .

I restarted the phone and did a hard reset, but the problem still happens

any idea ??

Did you try downgrading back to wp 8.0 to see if the issue is still there??

I am thinking to downgrade, but I need to know if anyone else facing this problem, is it software or hardware issue, is it a bug on 8.1 or not ?

I haven't seen anyone report this before you, but it could be a bug yes.. Do a backup, downgrade to 8.0 and check Or just hold off for a while; maybe someone else will respond

My mic quit working too - but I am not sure if it quit after the upgrade or not. Headset works fine but when I use the mic on a recording the sound level is almost inaudible.

Since update 1 I'm experiencing the same on my lumia 1020... Hope there is a resolution for this issue...

My mom just upgraded to 8.1 and is having the same issue. Voice to text, speakerphone, etc. do not work, but Bluetooth connections do. She did not upgrade to the preview, but instead simply upgraded when 8.1 was rolled out via AT&T.
