Microsoft Account not syncing properly

I use my outlook.com email address as my main Microsoft account on my Lumia 928. However, despite using a MS account on a Windows Phone and Windows desktop, the account gets out of sync. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any thoughts on how to solve it? I've tried manually syncing but it doesn't work.

WP 8.1 dev preview - default mail app - out of sync sometimes even when using the phone every day. Some examples:

1. Read emails in outlook.com don't always appear as read on WP
2. Deleted emails on outlook.com do not always appear as deleted on WP
3. Archived/moved emails on outlook.com sometimes continue to appear in the inbox on WP

Windows 8.1 - MS Mail app (not Outlook) - almost always out of sync with my WP and outlook.com
outlook.com in a browser - always current

I have not been able to detect a pattern but changes I make in outlook.com on a browser are not always pushed to my phone. Any changes I make to my phone are synced to outlook.com. Windows 8.1 issue can be ignored for the sake of this forum but I find it interesting/annoying how horrible that app is at syncing with the website/phone.

OMG I thought I was the only one with this issue since I saw no one complaining. I've been getting this issue too lately and it's so irritating!
In WP, I'll mark items are read/unread, move them to folders, etc. but then when I go into Outlook on my PC or outlook.com, the changes are not synced over (even if I hit the sync button in WP). WTF?

Glad I'm not crazy too! We can't be the only ones having this issue then. Anybody else experiencing this? Anybody found a fix?
