Microsoft Band notifications from ipad?

I'm interested in the microsoft band but I don't really use a phone. I use my ipad and for calling I use skype or apple facetime, and hangouts for messaging.

Can I sync a microsoft band with ipad and will I get notifications from skype, facetime, and google hangouts? I realize it's ios so there are no reply features, but I would still like the notifications.
