Hope it works fine for you in India! Do share your experience. Mine is coming through someone flying down from US, and I hope to have it by 12th.

Mine might be delivered today, 3 days earlier than expected, but I am going away for the day to watch interstellar with a friend. What torture! Don't know what to do

Found a trick on how to use the app without the band. Download and install the band sync app in your desktop, complete your profile and sign in.

After that, the MS health app on your phone thinks you have a band and lets you start the app without pairing.

How did you get the right size? I printed paper out and it is quite confusing it, seems like my hand is in M size but literally borderline one to one. Wonder if I should go for L or M there is no way to exchange it.
I will order it to my friends place in US and he can hopefully ship it to Thailand for me.

Microsoft says if your hand is borderline in size, get the larger one. My wrist was smaller than S, so I got S.

Online stores are still out of stock, and when they do get them back in stock, you would need a US credit card.

I'm not so sure about Microsoft's advice. My wrist was borderline medium, so I went for the larger size, ie medium and find that I have the strap closed as far as it will go and it never feels tight and I can still move it slightly. A return however is not on the cards so will have to keep it. Still, at least there's the holiday season ahead, so I've "growth" capacity ;)

WP_20141031_19_19_56_Pro.jpg For some size info. I have a large, my Wife has a small. I took the watch (that's my large), clasped and curled the strip inside and marked for both max and min. You can see the slot on the right side that limits your sizing. A pin fits in the slot and can travel from end to end.
For the Large, it went from 7.9” (20cm) to 6.4” (16.4cm)
Those were individually measured, not one, and a calculation. Yes it is tenths of an inch. I have an engineering scale that has that.
For the small, 6.4” (16.4cm) to 5.6” (14cm)
Yea the min of the large really was the max of the small. Presumably the Med falls somewhere in between.
If you cut yourself a strip like that and wrap it around your wrist you should get a decent idea. Note that most wrists I've seen are oval, not round, so measuring just the minor axis seems risky. I initially tried the Med and it was tight and left me no room. My large, cinched up, but not uncomfortable, is about halfway down the slot it seems, so I have some expansion room. Hope this helps someone.

Slyronit what about that website you specified that has got a function BUY for me.

Im not in a rush but really want one, surely there will be plenty in stock for XMASS.

To everyone else, size matching is ticky, I wish I could try M size. I'm not fat 179cm and 75 kg. Afraid of it being too small or too big. I will try to get a tape measure and wrap that around my wrist. See how that goes.

Microsofts guideline was a printed paper but it just measures hight from bottom to the top.

At least in the Samsung S5, the region is in the firmware and cannot be changed. I had to return my Band for a refund. My region was Australasia, and the Band only works for North America (or perhaps just the US).

That's pathetic. This shows how times have changed. Microsoft, which used to be such a rigid and closed company a decade ago, now makes it easy for users to change their region and work around restrictions, get new OS updates out of turn etc.

Man, I didnt get a chance to get to store at 1AM out time here yesterday. Checked this morning, out of stock.

Come on microsoft wtf cant you ramp up production? Its not that they don't have enough money. Ebay is insane people selling for 400 bucks + delivery. No way I'm paying anything more than 200-230 for it.

I just printed that paper for sizing again and this time it looks like Im on L still not sure. On a paper the measuring line extends way pass the wrist lowers point on a picture. Do I need to place my wrist so that I can see bottom part or not?

OK I firgured out sizing mine is L. I also measured hight of my wrist and it came out 47 mm.

I cant wait for BAND 2 that will most likely be Q4 of next year 2015. I was waiting to buy a fitness tracker for almost a year already and nothing really popped up. I was hoping for Fitbit Charge HR but that is Q1 next year also, otherwise I would get that instead.

I stay in Singapore and bought a band from best buy us. After a few weeks, the screen died on me after a run. How should I go about claiming the warranty? Anyone tried getting a warranty for their outside of us?

I am in germany and had the same problem. After a short time the touch screen did not work anymore. Unfortunattely the US-Service do not send exchanges outside the USA. But i had luck.. Since they sell the band in UK now i could order an exchange on the UK-Service. But i dont think that they do exchanges for Singapore.

But you can do the following: Big Appe Buddy (is a service helping to by from US online stores) does helping for exchanges, too. I did buy my band there and asked for an exchange-service and they offered me an exchange.
