Microsoft has a big opportunity

Don't know if it's the same thing, but I read that at least Apollo will allow multiple resolutions, that is a start I guess, but I want windows 8 and WP8 to allow for total home integration. Phone, computer, Xbox, seamlessly. But that might be asking too much.:D
I don't think you're asking too much. I think that is exactly the goal MS is working towards. I'll be surprised (and delighted) if they manage to roll all of the functionality we want out in the the first go. In alot of ways Win8 is a 1.0, and as such, I suspect there will be a steady drumbeat of increased integration as things move on after launch day.

MS seems pretty focused on not rolling out features until they're as stable as they can make them, and I for one, am willing to wait for them to make sure things are right before they do.

Instead of being a visionary Tim cook is trying not to crash and burn bringing the company down with him. But he is failing to see that is exactly what he is doing; crashing...slowly.

I've read so many comments on multiple sites of ifans complaining. But they will still line up to buy a stretched out iphone with a new dock connector that doesn't fit any of their accessories. Not only do they have to buy a phone but new accessories or at least an adapter.

Convergence: Combining a fridge and a toaster. Tim Cook does not believe in combining the ipad with a keyboard as we've seen with windows 8 at computex. No Vision of the future.

Convergence is where MS picks up steam to become #2 faster than IDC 2016 prediction. I believe developers will jump on board seeing all the windows 8 tablets/laptops and port many of their apps over to W8. Which will benefit WP8. The continued advancement of Xbox 360 and how it plays nice with W8 will also be a benefit. MS AND Nokia have a huge opportunity to gain momentum. June 20th and Nokia's upcoming conference will be huge. People need to be wowed. 2013 will be huge for Windows fans

Microsoft just needs a bunch of charismatic speakers. I watched the Xbox E3 event and while it was not super engaging, most the speakers knew how to engage the audience and structure a speech. Contrast with recent Windows Phone-related announcements, where there was some bumbling fool who stutters every second word and another one who places emphasis on the wrong words, leaving them awkwardly without applause.

Get Belfiore out again, and if heaps is shared with Windows 8, get Sinofsky on stage too. Heck, get Ben Rudolph too. These are guys who are much more likeable than random corporate executives.
