Microsoft lumia 950 stuck in app list

after a clean install of windows 10 I restarted my phone to come in the app list, not in the start screen and not be able to go back to start screen. Anyone??

Maybe you don't have a start screen?
Have you tried pinning one of your apps to the start screen?

I have the exact same problem, did a reset, and rather than restoring my home screen icons etc i'm just stuck in the App list and cant get back out!

I have the answer, the backup had not fully restored, so in essence I had no apps on the home screen. I used to love the MS restore process, but its very buggy this time around
