Microsoft people Contacts

Microsoft people no longer works, so I saw the update and tried to install that from the store but I get an error at the end of install.
How can I get Microsoft People/contacts to work again ?

Did you backup in settings before update and then logged in your Microsoft account again? Contacts are saved automatically in you OneDrive in the cloud

I did another hard reset and now everything seems good. Its a pain having to do the hard resets tho
