Windows Central Question

I have used Microsoft Photodraw v2 on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10. With the latest update of Windows 10 I can no-longer save pictures as .jpg files. Is there any solution to this?

Hi and welcome to windows central forums :)

Microsoft discontinued the program after releasing the Microsoft Photodraw v2 in 2009. your problem could be because of compatibility issues.

If you need additional help or want to reply to this thread , please check the instructions on how to join Windows Central ? :)

I can understand Microsoft not being bothered by compatibility from other software producers, if the software is old, but It ought to be a bit more concerned by compatibility of its own software even if it is a bit old. After all I am not aware of a Photodraw v3.

I'm not sure what's going on here, perhaps you can run the program in compatibility mode? (right click the program, select properties, select the compatibility tab and set it to something like Windows 7 or 8. Maybe as administrator for good measure.)

I made compatibility mode Windows 7 and it still did not work. I then made compatibility Windows XP SP3 and it now works. Thanks for for your help.
