Seems weird they're just going to be giving Outlook away. What percentage of M365 subscriptions are due to boomer executives who don't know the difference between email and the Outlook app? It's got to be at least 50/50. Maybe they'll compensate M365 subscriptions with more valuable Skype minutes.

With every update, Microsoft is making Windows more and more into ChromeOS. What happened to native applications? The MSN apps are all web wrappers now. They put all this work into WinUI and the Windows App SDK but then they do not even use it. Imagine if they built a brand new native Mail app. That would be nice.

It wouldn't even be an issue if it worked well, but it's all crap. The truth is that they did not put that much work into WinUI and Windows App SDK. It's mostly de-coupled UWP stuff. They've never really fixed their app issues. Even the Office apps don't always display correctly on high dpi screens.
