Microsoft: We are retiring the Windows Mail & Calendar apps at the end of 2024

Users: (Using those apps right up to the cut-off date) Why am I being forced to use this new app instead?

It seems as though you just can't get through to some people 🤦‍♂️

Some people realise the new apps are crap. New Outlook is utter rubbish so I've been using the Gmail Web app.

I was finally hit with the 'Windows Mail and Calendar are no longer supported' today after sideloading them and stopping pesky outlook from automatically installing. The new outlook is just so horrible compared to the beautiful, streamlined mail app. Wino mail as suggested by Kaymd looks similar so that is promising, but as of yet doesn't easily support aliases or allow me to add my organisation-provided email (when I get redirected to my organisation's login page it says an administrator account is required because wino mail is requesting certain permissions).
