Hi guys,

We all know how privacy has been such a hot topic lately and ever since the digital era we have just been clicking on agree to every terms and conditions we go encounter.

When we download apps they would usually ask permission to access our profiles and we willingly give them our usernames and passwords just to get full features.

Wouldn't it be nice if MS would give us the option to create a Virtual Username and Password?

This Virtual Username and Password could have a timed feature where it expires after a certain amount of time and would have to be renewed. That way apps do not have access to our personal information all the time.

It would be nice also if we could create a Virtual Username and Password for each app.

What do you guys think?

It depends on the developers implementing it.
For some apps, access permission can be withdrawn using the website.
I think timed access to data could be useful. But it could also be a pain. And it may just shunt the problem - Joe Bloggs may just keep clicking "Allow" every time he's asked to let his talking/farting cat app have access to his emails, location and contacts.
It's a balance between letting a user hand over all their information to "You Tube Downloader by Dodgy Russian App Maker (official)" and giving a user the choice.
