Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 App on Windows Phone 10.

Last night I downloaded the windows insider app and updated my Lumia 640 XL to WP 10 and while checking out the store saw the Microsoft visual c++ app installing. I paused it and tried to search for it in the store as well as on the web but to no avail. I've done basic programming and know Visual is used for creating programs and etc, but is it necessary for the working of my phone and why cant i find it anywhere on the web or the store ?

That's not Visual Studio. Visual Studio is used for creating apps n stuff, that what you see right there is a redistributable. You probably have a couple installed on your PC (check under Programs and Features). It's important for the phone to work well. MS used to push out those updates via phone update, but now they've switched to the new method of pushing out smaller updates from the Store.
