You can buy it and use it with T-mobile. You don't have to rely on the carrier, that's the beauty of unlocked devices.

Those that bemoan the lack of a certain phone on their carrier don't have the gumption to say "I can only afford XYZ phone if my carrier spreads out the payments for me over 24 months."
