Missing emergency alerts option

So i'm not 100% sure, but i believe before wp8.1 (dev) was installed, I think I had the emergency alerts option within settings -> applications -> messaging but no longer see that option available. I am running an international 1020 (RM-875) on t-mobile, so I'm not sure that has anything to do with it. I tried doing a field test ##3282# but my phone could not complete that action. anyone have any ideas to get that option back on?

This is most probably due to your 1020 being a international one.

Im in uk and My lymia 1020 is german firmware and doesn't have those options ,nor does my english firmware lumia 925. Both are WP 8.0

here in uk we dont have the emergency alert thing, only had a pilot and that was using nornal sms for alerts

if its important to you perhaps you could flash the phone with a CV Firmware thats applicable.

Yea, its probably only on US phones and other countries that use it. My 920 doesn't get them since it has the French ROM.

ugh. thanks for the replies. i could have sworn i saw them pre-8.1, but maybe i'm thinking of an older device like my lumia 928 or htc 8x. oh well.

FWIW, I do show an emergency alerts box at the bottom of the screen you indicate -on a 1020, running 8.0 happily and patiently. :wink:
