I've read that it's possible to change files in the /windows subdir under WM 6.1 on a Blackjack II. I've also read that it isn't possible, since the OS is stored in ROM.
I have successfully added a file to ROM (as near as I can tell -- didn't try a hard reset). I can't clear the system bit for existing files, or rename or overwrite them.
Found a post elsewhere that claims can do from XP and not Vista -- I'm running Vista. Tried Resco Explorer and Total Commander on the phone side -- so it's clearly not a Vista problem. I suppose it is possible that XP can somehow work magic that Vista can't, but that seems odd?
