Mouse pointer glitch? A dot surrounded by 4 arrows?

Every now and then, but I haven't yet discovered a pattern to explain its appearance, something odd happens to my mouse pointer.

Instead of an arrow, I get a dot in the center of the screen, surrounded by 4 arrows (up, down, left, right). Attempts to move the mouse pointer via the track pad will simply highlight one of the four arrows.

The only way I have found to get rid of this, and get my mouse pointer back, is to turn the REDFLY off and back on, then reconnect to the cell phone.

A. What IS that dot-with-four-arrows and what is it used for?
B. What causes it to appear?
C. How can I make the regular mouse pointer come back, other than by using the power button?

Yeah it's deliberate. Your mouse is emulating the navigation pad on your phone.

depending on which firmware version you havbe on the Redfly you can toggle this mode either by clicking the left and right trackpads simultaneously, or by pressing Fn+5.
