Move app from one SD card to another

Just tried it. Doesn't work. Though appears logical that if it finds a file/app etc at sd card path, system should pick and execute. Transferred 3 GB od WPSystems to and fro but did not work. May be the is IDs the sd card and then does the binding as using guid type strings. God knows what.
Which is the reason I'm looking for a way to migrate sd card to sd card.

Sd to phone, phone to sd. That will take too many iterations and turn off, switch sd card, move.

There should be an easier way.

Your second advice didn't work for me. I created an image of the of card and then copied it over the new one and none of the application on the card were recognized.

Didn't work. Apps aren't recognized with the new card. I did image copy.
