MS Alias ID

Hi guys!
My friend has a very important question to ask and since he's not on WPC,I'm asking on behalf of him.
His question in his exact words is:-

"If after a hard reset I log in with an alias ID of my microsoft account, will I still be able to download the beta apps??"

Any help would be greatly appreciated
P.S:-He says he wants the answer urgent.

I don't see why not.
