msn messenger spam !!!

hey anybody having issue with msn messenger sending you spam messages ?? Im just wondering how people have dealt with it.

I dont want to go offline because that will also set myself offline on facebook chat.

But with messenger about to be replace with Skype, not sure how much longer the above will matter.

that's what I though, I tried to log into messenger yesterday on my mac and it worked, I though it was retired in march. well the spam is getting less often but it still happens.
