Multiple issues and questions (Multiple pictures in gallery, no details about calls, etc.)

Hello,

I bought my father nokia Lumia 830 as a gift. Worst decision ever, this replica of a smartphone is riddled with gliches and bugs. Nothing goes better and it is so so primitive and nothing compered to Android and iOS. Anyway I have few questions:

1) Why is the phone making 2-3 pics in the gallery after I have taken only one?
2) how to see how much time have I spoken in a certain call log (let's say my mom calls me and after we hang up I want to see how much time we have spent on the phone)
3) How to see how many contacts do I have in my contact list and how to manage the SIM contacts/phone ones
