this is exactly the same issue i'm having with my ms band v1. clasp
is there anything available to fix it myself, as i'm outside us and the warranty already expired

Sadly, only MS can fix it. We cannot. I am now on a Fitbit Surge which has a greater presence here in Thailand so, if it breaks, at least I can get it fixed.

I had the same problem after six months. Microsoft refused warranty coverage stating 'cosmetic.' I say F U Microsoft!
I no longer wear the band.
