My Edge browser appears to have been hacked within days of install

Clicked on a link for rabbit control product, screen went to flashing screen with audio warning that my google chrome was at risk (I wasn't even using chrome, I was using Edge).

Unable to remove or detect malware or virus with malwarebytes, avg. McAffee, or Windows Defender.

I am unable to use Edge, as I cannot get past the warning screen. Chrome runs just fine.

I uninstalled windows10 and reverted 8.1 and IE and all is well (or as well as it was before new install).

I keep getting the prompt to install windows10, and I would love to if I knew I had a clean version. I do not know how to get a version that has not been infected.

Any help would be appreciated.
