I try to make my current windows look as much like previous versions. Desktop has evolved from the look and feel of Vista with small icons and a mid blue background. Dont know how many settings I change to get back to that look and feel. The advantage of this approach is I can pick up the new OS with almost no learning curve once I have made the changes. The disadvantage is I find somebody elses setup a bit of a pain.
