my firmware is updated. but my sofrware is still Cyan. is this is an error?

I have Lumia 820. When I buy its version of windows is windows 8. So I try to update it. Until now I have Cyan but the firmware is updated. It is supposed to be Denim? I'm kinnda new here so plss help

If you are in the USA and on ATT, the 820 is officially on Cyan at this point. Cyan is Windows 8.1, and Denim is GDR1
