My laptop always runs out of memory!

My laptop always run out of memory . Even only two programs open,
4GB of RAM , 500GBHDD.updated latest windows updates.

Open Windows Task Manager, sort the processes/details tab by memory. Let us know which processes are using the most memory or post a screenshot.

It could be you're doing too many heavy things at once.
Having a zillion Chrome tabs can potentially eat up memory for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, that's an example.

I always end the task of Google chrome it consumes 120 mb even not open.

But still, check out task manager, it'll give you an exact breakdown of what's doing what

Try " net stop super fetch" command in "Run" or " Command Prompt whenever you face this problem.

Try testing you HD. I had this with a 1TB HD it got slow to write the more it filled up. About a quarter full 250gb and it would slow. I partitioned so I now have 2 drive of 500gb and its as fast now as I used to be and no memory loss warnings

I have some questions no one has asked yet.

1. What OS are you using
2. How full is your hard drive
3. What size is your page file
4. When's the last time you did any maintenance on your hard drive

I can almost guarantee that your issue is more hard drive related than tasks running in the background. You should still check your tasks to see if you have something that's taking up resources but this just screams at me that your hard drive is probably too full.

What exactly is it that indicates to you, that you've got a low-memory issue? What leads you to make that conclusion?

The real questions....
1. How many programs start up when you boot to desktop?
2. Do you just click "accept" on every program you install or do you select "custom" and unclick all the junk programs to be installed?
3. How many banner/toolbars do you have on your browser?
4. What pornsites do you visit?

I don't install any programs except those windows updates, only two programs open. i don't visits pornsites using laptop i use windows phone for downloading videos but my girlfriend always delete my video collections.

If you want help, you'll have to answer some of the more important questions, not only the ones about porn consumption. :wink:

Oooooh yea, Splash top is an intensive program for some reason. never heard of password box but now I know to stay away from it...
