My Lumia 930 is completely dead now. I posted in previous threads, where I complained about frequent restart and music stop. Since last night it suddenly died. Looks like the device was defective and the CPU died.

Not sure what your asking for exactly.... If the CPU died your gonna have to return it.

It's a shame how such beautiful phones are defective when you open it up.

Yes I gave it in Nokia care, but they said that I might have to wait up to 30th March, which is a lengthy wait.

Might I ask how long you've had it?

I purchased it on November 1st 2014. On 26th of Dec, it slipped from my hands, and the screen broke, resulting in display being dead. So it was in service center for more than a month. On 5th of Feb I got it back with screen replaced. Now this incident, that the device suddenly died. The frequent restart could be the most likely reason (Once a day when noticed), which was there since beginning. Another problem with the device was music suddenly stop playing, as if that portion of the hard disk was dead or something. So I had to use 3rd party application to stop the music and play again.

I have mentioned these 2 issues in these threads

These 2 issues could have been the part of this big problem.

I believe you had a defective phone and that's the end of it. I'm truly sorry about your loss! Hopefully they won't take too long. Do you have a backup device? I don't know if I could survive without a phone. Haha.

This is the second time my Lumia 930 is in service center. In Dec 26, it fell and screen was dead. So insurance people took it in service center and replaced the screen. Now the phone is completely dead
It sounds like they didn't repair it properly, since it was so buggy when you got it back from repair.

I certainly hope they repair it properly or replace it this time, and that you do not need to wait so long to get back a properly working device.

I can't live without a touchscreen smartphone. Thankfully I have my ageing Lumia 920. Although it has started showing its age, as the capacitive keys are not longer lightening.

The issue of music and restart was there, even before the first repair. So looks like, I had the defective device since beginning. I am hoping for a replacement this time.

Maybe it was a battery defect, at the first time when you got screen replaced they should pull out the battery. You sould carefully do this because you can bend the battery and it won't work properly if it will turn on.

About flip case, I bought this one:

Thanks. Looks like the device was defective from the beginning, when I started experiencing music and restart issue. That screen repair made it worst. Now that I got a complete replacement, I hope, I never come across such issue again.
