My Lumia will not stop vibrating!!

My 950xl just did the same. Had to pull the battery to get the phone to stop vibrating. The phone and battery was extremely hot. After I started the phone up again, I had a look at the battery usage, WhatsApp was listed at 58% for the last 24 hours. Might have been a message that came through that triggered this. I've had the phone for almost three months now and this is the time I've had any issues. Battery life can easily last me two days on mild usage.
I hope this was just a one time thing.
