My Mail & Calendar is showing 1.61GB in Storage

In Storage (All Apps -> Storage -> This Device -> Apps & Games) , the Mail & Calendar shows 1.61GB. How did it get so big ? There are only a few emails left in there, although I have 6 different accounts. Any ideas/suggestions how to reduce it? Thanks!

Deleted temp files. However, it does not seem to change the Mail & Calendar size.

Check the sync settings, they aren't set to "all time" are they?

No, all accounts are all set to "Last 7 days".

Hi, did you get a solution please? Mine Email & Calendar app's size grow recently up to 2,32GB!
I should say it started to get so big after the last update, not sure. I have 3 email account & no more than 10 emails

I fear only way is a hard reset. Outlook / Calendar got some updates in last days

Mine uses 83MB, two accounts, one months' data sync'd.
I think there's a way to force-uninstall mail (built-in apps in general), I seem to remember a script or something? This might do the same as a reset, and be less potentially painful.
