My mobile not getting detected in WIndows 10 laptop

Hi all,

My mobile Samsung Ativ S is not getting detected in my laptop. I have recently upgraded from windows 8.1 to 10 in my laptop. Have uninstalled and installed all the drivers, samsung USB driver, windows phone desktop app. Still no luck. If anybody facing the similar issue and got solution, please update me.

My W10 detects my Ativ S perfectly. Check if the data cable is fine.

I purchased ATIV S USB cable yesterday but still no luck. My wife's mobile is getting detected (hers is Android). Mobile is getting charged but not getting detected. Plz help.

Have you tried connecting the ATIV S to another PC?. My ATIV S is two years old and I had to replace the usb board recently because I couldn?t charge the device without playing some time with the cable position. A new usb board cost like 12€ in eBay. After changing it and the USB/DATA cable, with the original charger the phone charges much faster. So fast as the 1st day. In 2 hours it goes from 1-4% to full charge.

Try a different port, I have a similar issue but with my usb keyboard it locks up on one port but it works fine on the port next to it lol. Same with my phone, it is only detected on one port but it charges.

If I didn't have 4 usb ports on my laptop.. I don't know what I would have done.

I had the same problem. Solution - install WMP.
