My phone has begun lagging worse after the update?

Ever since I upgraded to WP 8.1 GDR 1, my phone has started lagging like crazy. When I exit from an app or game and return to the app list or main screen there is a terrible lag and its becoming irritating.

I tried doing a soft reset but it is of no use. I'm reluctant to do a hard reset to see if it solves the issue as I do not want to loose all my data once again.

You are using developer software, these things happen. Yes hard reset usually solves these problems. Brace yourself.

Yup. same thing here, lagging like hell.

live tiles wont load, need to kill background applications to get some speed. battery life is dramatic..

you ARE using DEVELOPER's software, so is very common to find problems like battery drain and lags, forc? closes etc.. is better to go back to an stable versi?n if you don'twant to face those problems
