My startup menu has dropped the settings icon. How can I get it back?

Windows Central Question

My setting icon is still available in the action centre but not at startup where it initially appeared.
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Type "Settings" in the Cortana search box. When Settings appears in the top of the results screen, right click and choose "Pin to Start menu"
