My Windows phone, Nokia Lumia 520 says ERROR: Unable to find a bootable option. How can I fix it?

my windows phone nokia lumia 520 says "ERROR: Unable to find a bootable option".

i was using whatsapp on my lumia 520 when suddenly the phone switched off and now when i am trying to switch on the phone it says "ERROR: Unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to shut down". i tried using the volume down key n the power button but it isn't working and also that my volume up button isn't working. PLEASE HELP.

I have also encountered this problem around three months ago with my L1020. Some of the recommended possible solutions are to try to reinstall the phone using either the Lumia Software Recovery Tool or the Windows Phone Recovery Tool through your PC and by connecting your phone to that PC. Be sure to select the option that says something like, "My phone won't turn on".

If that doesn't work, there was one user who mentioned that keeping his phone in a bag of uncooked rice for one day "magically" fixed his phone - so you could try that as well.

If those don't work, then the only solution is to have the service center diagnose and repair your phone - this is what worked for my L1020.
