Need help with x86

I can't help anyone emulate anything, but a good alternative is to us Remote Desktop to either a desktop PC, or a VM. Assuming you have a powerful enough PC, you can run a virtual machine in the background that is used for nothing more than serving up desktop-based x86/x64 apps to your tablet. You can tweak the window appearances to be slightly more touch friendly with bigger targets. For those without a desktop PC or for those willing to pay a little money (or have a company to pay), you can use a cloud-based VM such as Windows Azure to host your desktop environment. Overkill for most, but it works nicely. Windows Azure is aimed more for people with need for servers -- I have heard rumors that there may be a new service soon for desktop users.

did the directions section vanish?

I think you'd be better off ditching the RT and getting one of those cheap 8" 8.1 tablets like the Dell Venue 8 Pro
picked one up open box for $207 at Micro Center
