Need Photo App for Surface Pro 4 That Locks in Photo Placement

I used to have a Surface Pro 3 that included two photo apps: Photos and Photo Gallery. I now have a Surface Pro 4, which has only Photos.

One thing I liked about Photo Gallery was that I could place my photos in a particular order and modify that order if I wanted. I use my tablet for trips—I take photographs with my Nikon digital; inport them into my tablet; and then edit them, including modifying the tags so that I can control their order. I may have a picture taken at the end of the trip that I want to be moved to the beginning of the presentation.

But somehow I cannot determine the placement of photos with the Photos app in the Surface Pro 4. I have downloaded Polarr and Photo Shop into my Surface Pro and still can’t place my photos in a particular order.

Any advice?
Thanks.

Been using that program since I moved from film to digital. It does everything. I can drag images into any order I want and then do a batch rename. You can download a free trail.

That is what I suspected--really good photo apps are not for free.

Which acdsee Photo Studio do you have--Ultimate; Professional; or Standard? Will Standard allow locking in the order of the photos?

I have ACDsee 17 which I see isn't offered anymore. I do not pay for the online subscription. I looked over the products and it would appear the "Standard" is more inline what I use. It does basic editing which I rarely use because I'm a LR and Photoshop nut. However, ACDSee is ALWAYS open on my computer and I use it daily to manage my images. It does way more than I use. Also, it works well with OneDrive (which I posted about a while back). They do offer a 365 online storage of images if you are looking but they pissed me off last year and I moved to other online storage options.

There is always an online community where users discuss the software and I have posted there in the past but, its not very active.

I use the software to search, sort, rename, batch resize, email, and organize my images. Since they have been around since digital photography started they are here to stay and know what they are doing when it comes to image management software. I shouldn't say this because I believe in jinxes but, the software has always worked for me since day one.

There is a cost for the product, however, I have found they charge at the lower end when it comes to image management software.
